THE DINING CLUB Policy & Information

How to make a booking

You may book by telephone, email or by using the booking forms provided with your menus. When THE DINING CLUB is closed, you may leave a message or call our mobile on; 07970652370.

Cost

Dining Club membership costs £5 per household, per year. This enables you to book a table for up to 4 guests. Menus are priced between £12.50 and £30.00 per person. All prices are clearly displayed on all of our menus.

To join THE DINING CLUB you can pick up a membership form when we are open or you can download the form. Alternatively, telephone 01304 373569 out of hours and we will happily post one out to you.

Payment

At present we do not accept credit / debit cards. Your may pay by cheque or cash prior to or on your visit.

Please note; Due to District Council restrictions, our license only allows us to operate until 11pm. Therefore we ask that you arrive on time as this allows us to finish serving your dinner by approximately 10.30pm. We ask that guests vacate as quietly as possible so as not to disturb our neighbours

 

Cancellations

Cancellation must be at least 48 hours prior to your date. If you find you are not able to attend a booking and we are not able to re-sell the spaces, we will not be able to make a refund.

Smoking

In line with Government legislation, smoking is not allowed on the premises. If you wish to smoke outside, please respect our neighbours and avoid smoking outside their houses.

Access

We are happy to accommodate wheelchairs. Access is available through the front door where there is just 1 step up from the road. Please be aware that our toilet facilities are located on the first floor. WE do have a radar key for the disabled toilet on King Street.

Dress Code

We would ask that our guests observe a smart, casual appearance. The club aims to provide an informal atmosphere for everyone to feel comfortable.

Mobile Phone

We ask that mobile phones are set to silent mode. Should you need to take a call please feel free to use our roof top.

Beverages

We do not have a liquor license; therefore you may bring your own. A corkage charge of £1.00 per person will be charged. We have a selection of soft drinks including bottled water for you to purchase. Costs vary between £2.00-£3.00. Please note, we will not tolerate unsociable behaviour with the misuse of alcohol.

Dietary Requirements

You will find on all our menus a vegetarian choice which can also be used should you not like a certain course. If you have special dietary requirements, we will endeavour to accommodate you.

Cheese

A cheeseboard is available after all meals at a cost of £7 to share.

Group Bookings

Tables are arranged to accommodate between 2 and 10 people. Larger groups can be accommodated but may require 2 rooms next to each other. This can be fun as you can swop seats between courses to make sure you mingle with all your guests!

Private Events

THE DINING CLUB is ideal for all occasions. We are happy to open THE DINING CLUB for your exclusive event when booking a minimum of 15 people up to 40 people. (Friday & Saturdays are available when booking a minimum of 30 people up to 2 months prior to the date). Please telephone to discuss your requirements with the Chef. Please note; We do not take 18th or 21st Birthday parties or Hen or Stag nights.

Parking

The nearest parking is 20 metres away at Middle Street car park or on the seafront which are both free after 6pm and all day on Sundays.

Taxis

Please ask your taxi driver to drop off and pick up in Market Street to avoid road congestion. We are happy to telephone a taxi for you.
